Emmy Winning Entertainment Mogul Rushion McDonald's Hit Radio Show Expands To The RYSE Podcast Network
Launched in spring of this year, Rushion McDonald's show Money Making Conversations continues to grow, building upon its loyal fan base of listeners. Every week McDonald serves up a plethora of valuable insight for aspiring entrepreneurs and entertainers. McDonald certainly knows a thing or two about success. He himself has had an extremely successful career, though most of his most notable work has taken place behind the lens of the camera.
In 1993, while pursuing a career as a standup comedian, McDonald started writing for the television series "Me and the Boys", starring Steve Harvey. This began a 20+ year Hollywood working relationship with Harvey in which McDonald would manage his professional career. In 2000, they launched "The Steve Harvey Morning Show", which gained national syndication five years later. Riding a significant wave of success, their next strategic project would drastically change both of their futures. In 2009, Harvey released his New York Times bestseller "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man". This was met with critical acclaim, spawning the making of a movie based on the book (2012), the launch of the "Steve Harvey" television show (2012), and much more with many of these strategic operational maneuvers spearheaded by McDonald. Additional production credits include television's Family Feud, The Jamie Foxx Show and Sister, Sister and Evidence of Innocence (soon to be launched). The two have since ended their relationship, as McDonald has continued to be a dynamic force within the entertainment industry.
Despite his success, McDonald has always stayed committed to giving back to the community. Money Making Conversations started with him wanted to utilize his platform on social media to provide free advice to his followers. The demand for his advice grew and he ultimately transitioned the show to radio, while simultaneously streaming it live on Facebook. McDonald says, "I started Money Making Conversations to empower everyday people with the steps to win in business startups, education, career makeovers, branding and marketing your business and opportunities in the entertainment industry. Adding the celebrity interview component allows people to hear and see that success is not a magic trick, but based on consistency, hard work, and relationships."
Since its launch, the show has featured a dynamic mix of inspiring interviews with celebrities, insightful advice from business leaders to entrepreneurs, one-on-one career advice with callers, motivating dialogue on financial success, personal career branding, along with his humor and signature business expertise. Celebrity guests have included; Patti LaBelle, Cedric The Entertainer, Michelle Williams, Sherri Shepherd, Charlie Wilson, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Kym Whitley, Holly Robinson Peete, Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, Anthony Hamilton, Johnny Gill, Keith Sweat, Kirk Franklin, Lalah Hathaway, Marvin Sapp, Yolanda Adams, David and Tamela Mann, Erica Campbell, JJ Hairston, Carl Lewis, Attorney Benjamin Crump, Stephen A. Smith, Rickey Smiley, Kevin Frazier, Roland Martin, Ed Gordon, George Wallace, media executive Jeff Clanagan, and motivational speaker Eric Thomas.
